• To learn the basic concepts required to develop an economic evaluation and proposed design using Aspen ICARUS Process Evaluator (Aspen IPE)

Day 1

• Overview of Aspen IPE and Aspen ICARUS system technology
• Introduction to Aspen IPE concepts
• Create a new project – no simulation
• Create standard files for your projects
• Start a new project with simulation
• Define raw material and product streams
• Develop components and run reports
• Perform an Investment Analysis of a Flowsheet – Reporting Assistant

Day 2

• Evaluate alternative scenarios
• Investigate stream data
• Use alternate heating utilities
• Investigate tower configurations
• Explore PFD and graphically add components
• Import other Aspen IPE projects

Day 3

• Import additional project components file
• Manually add components to complete the estimate
• Overview of Aspen Decision Analyzer
 Analyzer Economic Module (AEM)
 Analyzer Scale-Up Module (ASM)
 Analyzer Relocation Module (ARM)
